How we work

Your translation at a glance – from request to delivery.

1. Request

You send us the documents to be translated and tell us:

  • Target language and country (e.g. American or British English)
  • Purpose of the translation (e.g. professional text or advert)
  • Desired delivery date
  • Any company-specific terminology or previously translated material
  • Any additional requirements (e.g. accreditation, desktop publishing, etc.)

We translate your documents in confidence and are more than happy to sign a confidentiality agreement.

2. Quote

We analyse your documents, taking into account the following factors:

  • Word count
  • Degree of difficulty
  • Format of source text and desired delivery format
  • Word repetition
  • Availability of terminology database
  • Desired delivery date (regular or express)
  • Additional requirements (e.g. accreditation, desktop publishing, etc.)

Having considered your request, we will provide you with a non-binding quote for you to confirm.

3. Translation

Once an offer has been agreed, translation takes place in the following stages:

  • Selection of appropriate translator / translation team
  • Detailed briefing (particular requirements, available company-specific terminology, etc.)
  • Completion of translation and delivery to Sprachlabor
  • Translation viewing for completion and formatting

We are happy to arrange for your text to be proof-read by a second translator if necessary.

4. Delivery

The final steps for a successful project completion are as follows:

  • Punctual delivery of translation and terminology database (if applicable)
  • Confirmation of receipt
  • Issuing of invoice
  • Payment

And hopefully this isn’t the end! We hope to be able to work with you again and greatly appreciate further recommendations.
